We loved hanging out with these two at their engagement photoshoot! Photographing their Hamilton engagement session was super fun and the views were gorgeous! Tonya and Adrian are such a sweet couple — Tonya is a natural beauty and we love her laugh(!); Adrian is a great guy and such a gentleman. They have been together and best friends for years, and they make a great couple.
For Tonya and Adrian’s engagement session we headed out to Hamilton, Ontario. Since we are originally from the North (and arrived back from Australia a few years back!), we are still in the process of exploring and photographing the beauty that is Southern Ontario. We drove up windy roads that were framed with escarpment, city, and trees. Once we saw the cityscape at Sam Lawrence Park, we fell in love! There’s just something so inspiring about any view that overlooks a city or a valley or water. Tonya and Adrian picked such a perfect spot for their photos!
We started Tonya and Adrian’s engagement photo session at Sam Lawrence Park overlooking the gorgeous downtown city skyline. Sam Lawrence Park is located at the top of the Jolley Cut on the Niagara Escarpment. Tonya rocked a sweet boho dress and a jean jacket that had a fun hippie vibe, perfect for a summer evening session! The city lookout was so inspiring and the sun was golden. We then took a walk down a beautiful tree-lined pathway as the sun was setting.
We finished our evening with a quick trip to the Zoetec, a great little theatre with a 1920’s vintage vibe. The Zoetic building was originally the Daniel Cotter Hotel which was built in 1895, and after a fire, the building was then reconstructed into a theatre! It’s a great spot and as the sun set, we got a couple more photos with Tonya and Adrian at the theatre, a place that they love to go to. We are so excited for their upcoming wedding, and we count ourselves lucky that we get to photograph and witness their incredible day! // D&S

"Dylan & Sandra were incredible! We're not naturally comfortable getting our pictures taken, but they made us feel at ease. They captured the feeling of our wedding... When I look at the pictures it transports me right back. It's been such a precious gift!!"
