An Icy Winter Wonderland Engagement session in Port Stanley

We love winter more than most people! We were married in mid-December. And we think snow is incredibly beautiful! We also love us a good winter engagement session! Click here to see another awesome winter engagement session in London, Ontario! One of the things we adore most is that our couples are super fun and the brave kind. We were super excited when Amy sent us a shot of a frozen lake that they found in Port Stanley, Ontario. We immediately knew it was going to be an amazing engagement session. It’s a dream to shoot at a location that transports you to another place. Their frozen lake winter engagement session in Port Stanley Ontario did not disappoint!

The perfect match

Amy is pure sunshine, her laughter, her smile, it’s the way that she makes you feel just by being herself. She’s an incredible joy and paired with her guy, they are the perfect match. She is also the world-changing force behind Amity Clothing Co. and You Are Enough, both powerful initiatives to end mental health stigma and promote mental health! Kyle is a gentleman, thoughtful, caring, and such a great sport. Actually, the two of them are great sports, especially when they are competing against one another! In fact, their first date is one of the best we have ever heard of. They went out for beer and nachos, played a few games of pool, and got poutine. They were having such an amazing time together that then went to Kyle’s place to play video games… until two in the morning!

Amy and Kyle knew they had found something incredibly rare in one another… it was too easy to be themselves and everything just clicked. The best part? They actually grew up down the street from each other and even went to the same school, but only met when they crossed each other’s paths at the incredible Race Roster (a pretty cool team of geniuses that created a program to coordinate charity and professional runs)!

A Port Stanley engagement session adventure

Fast forward to their winter engagement session, we headed to Port Stanley, Ontario for what felt like a legit tundra experience. Huge chunks of icy sheets crashed into one another, frozen in place, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was also super cold — but so worth it! The ice chunks had formed into mountains of mismatched steps and the snow gently drifted down over Amy and Kyle on Lake Erie. We also captured little pieces of Port Stanley’s winter-kissed beach, including the gates leading to Port Stanley’s lighthouse, and finally, we just couldn’t skip the ice cream shop.

We loved this winter engagement session in Port Stanley most of all because of how amazing Amy and Kyle are. You can see how much Amy and Kyle adore each other, and they had us laughing through the cold! These two were so much fun, and one of the reasons why we love the work we do. Amy and Kyle, you’re meant to be and we are really excited to hang out with you again at your wedding this year! Keep having fun together, you two are AMAZING!
