Q. WE'RE INTERESTED, WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS
A. We love meeting with you and/or your or your planner to get to know what is important to you. After we chat and are the perfect fit for your big day, it gets official with a $2500 non-refundable retainer and a signed contract. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.
Q. WHO WILL BE SHOOTING MY WEDDING
A. The Dylan & Sandra team is made up of Dylan, Sandra, and our skilled associates. While both of us typically photograph your wedding day together, if one of us is unavailable, you can still book a combination of one of us and one of our talented associates.
Q. DO YOU PROVIDE VIDEOGRAPHY
A. We specialize in wedding photography so that we can serve our couples with the best wedding photography experience possible. We are always happy to provide recommendations of videographers that are talented and lovely to work with!
Q. DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE
A. Candid, timeless, and heartfelt with a perfect mix of editorial and documentary feels. For most of your day, we take a candid approach and mix in a lot of movement so we can capture all the beautiful and authentic moments. During formal family portraits, this is where we get the most traditional with our posing. Our posing is natural and gently directed.
Q. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EDITING STYLE
A. We love a timeless approach to our edits. Our images are crisp, clean, light-filled, and natural. Our goal is to edit your images to match as closely to how it was on your day so that they look natural, and your skin tones look amazing. Our black and whites have an iconic and timeless feel.
Q. IS AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION INCLUDED
A. When you pick a package with our Signature Engagement Session, an engagement session is included. Your engagement is a season of life like none other. It’s exciting (and busy!). An engagement session is an opportunity to celebrate this season of life. It will also help you get used to working with us (and ignoring our cameras) in preparation for your wedding day!
Q. WHAT GEAR DO YOU USE
A. We shoot with professional Canon equipment. We have a great collection of lenses for portrait, macro, and landscape photos. We also love to play with light, and do both natural light and flash photography so that your day-time, indoor, and evening shots are perfectly lit and gorgeous.
Q. DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS
A. Yes! We regularly service Toronto, Cambridge, Niagara, and all the stops in between. Travel up to 100kms from London, Ontario is included in our pricing. For locations that are a bit further out, we have simple flat rates. Pricing is included in your custom proposal.
Q. SHOULD I DO A FIRST LOOK
A. First looks can make for some of *the most* emotional, raw, and beautiful images on your wedding day. It is one of the only opportunities on your entire wedding day when you can have some quiet time to connect, just the two of you. Incorporating a First Look is also a pro-secret to making the most of your timeline so you can maximize your time with us. You also get more pictures in the end (yay!).
Q. WHAT IF I HAVE A SPECIAL EXIT
A. Planning a sparkler exit or fireworks? Walking down the aisle with confetti poppers or a flower petal toss? We've got you covered! Just let us know in advance, we can't wait to capture the excitement!
Q. DO YOU PROVIDE ALBUMS AND PRINTS
A. YES! 8 out of 10 couples *never* get around to completing a wedding album design they've started. Life just has a way of taking over sometimes. We want to change that because your photos deserve more than just living on a social media feed or your photos app. They represent your legacy. We've searched and landed on truly beautiful albums that come with a lifetime warranty and are crafted to last the generations. We will help you to customize it perfectly.
Q. HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I GET
A. We focus on quality over quantity and capture every beautiful moment we can. We promise an absolute minimum of 50 images per hour. The more that we have to capture, the more images you will receive :)
