More than twelve years ago, Kylie and Spencer first met. Life eventually led them in different directions as Kylie pursued medicine and Spencer built his career as a pharmacist. Although time passed, the friendship they shared never truly disappeared.
Years later, they found their way back to one another. That friendship became the foundation for the marriage they celebrated at the Spencer Hotel in London, Ontario.
Their wedding reflected exactly who they are—kind, genuine, and deeply rooted in the people they love. Every part of the day felt intentional. Rather than chasing perfection, they simply wanted to be present and celebrate this new chapter with family and friends.
From our very first conversation, Kylie and Spencer shared one simple hope for their wedding photographs. They wanted images that felt honest. Nothing overly posed or forced. Just genuine moments that would bring them back to how the day truly felt.
Spencer even joked that he wanted to keep his eyes open in every family photo. His family, apparently, has a habit of blinking at exactly the wrong moment. It became one of our favourite running jokes throughout the day and added even more personality to their celebration.
Looking around, it was clear this wasn’t simply a wedding. It was two families becoming one. Every embrace lingered a little longer. Every laugh came effortlessly. And every guest played a meaningful part in their story.
As a preferred photography vendor at the Spencer Hotel, we’ve had the opportunity to photograph many celebrations on these beautiful grounds. From the historic estate to the manicured gardens, we know how to make the most of every season and every corner of the property.
Formerly known as the Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre, the Spencer Hotel is one of London’s most beautiful estate wedding venues.
Historic architecture, mature trees, and beautifully maintained gardens surround the property. Together, they create an elegant setting that feels refined without ever feeling formal.
One of our favourite things about photographing weddings here is how easily the venue flows from one part of the day to the next. There are countless portrait locations within a short walk, allowing couples to stay present with their guests while creating timeless photographs.
As the evening light settled across the gardens, Kylie and Spencer slipped away for a few quiet moments together.
These portraits became some of our favourites from the day. They weren’t directed or rushed. Instead, they reflected exactly who Kylie and Spencer are—a couple who find joy in simply being together.
The soft evening light, historic grounds, and peaceful gardens created a timeless backdrop for photographs that feel effortless and authentic.
One of the most memorable moments came during their first dance.
Kylie moved with a grace that reflected her years of ballet training. Every movement looked effortless. Spencer brought fire and style to the dance floor. Watching the two of them together felt less like a performance and more like two people completely at home with one another.
Their connection spoke louder than any choreography ever could.
Beautiful venues always make an impression. Thoughtful details do too.
But years from now, those won’t be the first things Kylie and Spencer remember.
They’ll remember parents wiping away tears and grandparents watching proudly from across the room.
Quiet glances exchanged between two people who had waited for the right time and finally found each other.
And friends laughing together during speeches.
Those are the moments that become family heirlooms.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Spencer Hotel, you’ll find one of London’s most picturesque estate wedding venues. The property offers elegant architecture, beautiful gardens, and incredible portrait locations without ever leaving the grounds.
