An intimate rustic chic wedding day on the groom’s family’s property, this gathering was a gorgeous celebration of love and friendship and the power of true love and its Legacy.
The wind gently rustled through the freshly turned-green leaves. Today was the day that Christina and Ethan made their greatest life promise to each other. And it was a day that was completely magical.
Weโve always really adored these two. And when we say they are a perfect match, we really could not imagine a sweeter pair. The strength of their faith, and the overflowing love from their families and for one another left such a beautiful impression on us.
This day had been replayed in their minds in so many different ways. Planning a wedding in 2020 turned out to be a bigger adventure than they had ever imagined. But in the end, the way it happened couldnโt have been more beautiful.
The moment theyโd waited for arrived. Christinaโs pulled in close to her Dad’s arm as he walked her down the aisle. Passing an old lilac tree and down a petal-lined path, the bride and groom locked eyes.
Nestled under a tree in their families property, Christina and Ethan shared life promises with one another, surrounded by their closest family and Christina’s best friend Carrie-Lynn. Their rustic chic wedding was the sweetest. Thereโs something about simple and humble ceremonies that makes them even more powerful. And this sunny June wedding was no exception.
And if you want to know how loved these two are, you just have to see what happened after their vows. A literal parade of who knows how many cars was organized by the bride’s mom, Lynda (whom we love!). Cars outfitted with balloons, banners, noisemakers and horns. Even a celebrity dog came to honour the bride and groom!
For their portraits, we walked to the woods where Ethan grew up. A beautiful mature forest, with bridges, rivers and streams. It all just added to the magic of the day, especially with the sun streaming through the tall trees!
The hospitality and kindness of Christina and Ethan’s families blew us away. But we were not surprised. Having met Christina and Ethan at their Sydenham Ridge Estates engagement session this past winter, we already knew that their families were awesome. At their wedding, they even made a little pack up dinner for us, how sweet is that?
We could imagine no better away to welcome the 2020 season two kick it off with Christina and Ethan. They remind us what really matters, and the power of love that is patient and kind. Thank you Christina and Ethan for the honour of being your wedding photographers. We cannot wait for what this next season of life brings for the two of you. We will always be big fans!
