Germaine & Chris | Engagement at Halton County Railway Museum & Rockwood Conservation Area

You know that feeling you get when you meet someone, and itโ€™s like youโ€™ve always known each other? Germaine and Chris are those kinds of people. They are so down-to-earth, have really big hearts, and a fantastic sense of humour. And did we mention they love food and adventure? (We may or may not have had a chat about Baconators, and then beelined to Wendyโ€™s after their photoshoot!). Not only that, but they have a dog named Cooper with his own Instagram. As dog people, we may be biased but we think dog people are kinda awesome by default! We loved hanging out with this duo. Upon meeting Germaine, we noticed she has this authentic way of living in the moment that brings joy to everyone around her. She has a carefree spirit and is also one of the most gracious brides we have met! Both qualities are such a rare gift! Chris is the ultimate gentleman, one of those really thoughtful and kind guys thatโ€™s a shining example of aย โ€œgood guyโ€. Together they make the sweetest pair, and with Cooper, the three of them are a great tribe. In fact, they refer to themselves as the โ€œCamp Trioโ€, which got us thinking that maybe our family needs to get our own fun name too! Chris is the ketchup, Germaine is the mustard, and Cooper is, of course, relish. Playing off of the camp theme โ€” and a legacy of family love for all things Kombi โ€” their getaway wedding vehicle is none other than a vintage VW Kombi. How good is that? These old souls told us they wanted to have some fun with a vintage-inspired shoot for their engagement session. When they picked the Halton Train Station in Milton, Ontario, we got excited! We love how our couples think out-of-the-box! Since we love timeless photographs, the train museum was such a perfect spot. Next we made our way to Eramosa, Ontario to the Rockwood Conservation Area. We were in awe of the beauty we found. Shooting with Germaine and Chris at the old castle ruins, once a factory during the war times called Harris & Co.ย Rockwoodย Woolen Mill, was beautiful. With their wedding day coming up, we count ourselves blessed that we get to witness and photograph their big day! Much love Germaine, Chris & Cooper! // Truly, D&S
